The Scholastic Clay Target Program provides school-age participants in grades 12 and under with the opportunity to showcase their competitive shooting skills and earn state and national recognition. |
The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) is responsible for all aspects of the popular Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP). SSSF oversees participant registration, coaches, state advisors, state and national championships, promotion, communications, web sites, public relations and growth strategies. The program is managed in partnership with the national governing bodies for shooting sports: USA Shooting, Amateur Trapshooting Association, National Skeet Shooting Association and National Sporting Clays Association.

The National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) is dedicated to the development of the sport at all levels of participation and vows to create an atmosphere of healthy competition and meaningful fellowship within its membership. |
The
South Carolina Youth Shooting Foundation was started by a few clay
target shooting enthusiasts, who were interested in creating an organization
to enable "youth" a better opportunity to enjoy the art of
clay target shooting, pistol and rifle shooting. In 2008, the SCYSF was
formed and recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In the
first year of operation, the SCYSF had 377 different youth participation
in Skeet, Trap, and Sporting Clays events. We are in hopes of adding
archery, rifle, and pistol shooting in the future. Our goal is to introduce
youth to not only enjoy the outdoors, but to learn safety with firearms,
accuracy, and to meet other youth from around the state. |
